60-62 St Mary Street, Cardiff [map]

There's a time and a place for everything. In the case of Mbargo, it's very specifically on a Saturday night while glugging pre-club drinks and listening to an ear-shredding conglomeration of blathering house.
If you're not willing - or able - to tick all those boxes then you're quite clearly in the wrong place.

They've gone for a kind of dungeon aesthetic, with added dancefloor and disco lights. It's a bold move, to say the least.

There's also a parade of comfy sofas, although the music's so loud it's not really the sort of place to sit down for a chat.
So it's halfway between a pub and a club. Which must make it a plub.
