Old Brewery Quarter, Cardiff [map]
Chiquito - the only Mexican restaurant in Cardiff named after an Abba song.
It's in that funny downstairs bit in the Old Brewery Quarter and, handily, has a separate entrance (on the right) that leads straight into the bar area.
And here it is. Small but perfectly formed. But there's nothing particularly Mexican going on, aside from the fact that the word 'Margaritas' is daubed on the mirror.
It's largely been garnished with Generic Bar Fittings, just with a focus on earthy tones and the odd stripy blanket.
A selection of pots and some sort of illuminated stick arrangement. Illuminated sticks are very on-trend this season, we hear.
For those of you who don't speak Spanish, this translates as 'Caballeros'.
The most hilariously useless seating layout we've ever seen. In order to sit in either of the two chairs against the wall, presumably you have to hurdle over the table in front of them.
Easier said than done when you're carrying two pints of lager, a fistful of luminous vodka shots and a packet of dry roasted peanuts.
